Our Story
The story of The Planted Mama is one of passion, resilience, and community. From a childhood love of plants to a decade of collecting and cultivating houseplants, the founder's journey with plants has been a lifelong one. However, it was during a challenging time when her youngest daughter was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that the true power of plants became evident. Balancing the demands of being a full-time student and caregiver, the founder turned to selling plants as a source of solace and stability amidst the chaos of hospital visits and mounting medical bills.
Amidst the turmoil, the act of growing, nurturing, and sharing homegrown plants became a sanctuary—a calming center that provided much-needed respite from daily stress. Eventually, the founder made the difficult decision to leave her job to care for her daughter full-time, and The Planted Mama shop emerged as a way to pursue her passion for plants while being there for her family. What began as a small endeavor has since flourished into a thriving business, exceeding expectations and evolving into a vibrant community for houseplant lovers.
Driven by a desire to spread joy and accessibility, The Planted Mama aims to provide happy, healthy, and affordable plants to all.
